With the abundant body of work that teaches the “process” of selling, there is seemingly little reason for one more trainer to enter the fray with the same old rhetoric. But I feel that much of the sales training is dated or is often nothing more than theoretical jargon. Sales training methods have emphasized a “process” and gimmicks to “close” the sale, mainstream techniques in 1970, but hardly the stuff of true Sales Leaders in the 21st century. Moreover, the “motivational” training I have traditionally experienced is focused on external “Rah! Rah!” and not the internal psychological mechanisms of the heart and brain. Thus I felt I had something to add to the mix.
